Frequently Asked Questions
Which carry-on suitcase is the lightest?
The Samsonite Lite-Shock weighs only 1.7 kg and is one of the lightest hard shell suitcases worldwide. From the Travelite series, the Air Base at approx. 2.1 kg is also very light. Soft luggage trolleys can even weigh under 1.5 kg.
Do I need a TSA lock on my carry-on?
For travel to the USA, a TSA lock is important – the TSA security authority is allowed to open the suitcase without damaging the lock. For Europe, it is not mandatory but offers additional security. Most Markenkoffer already have an integrated TSA lock.
Carry-on suitcase with 2 or 4 wheels?
4-wheel suitcases (spinners) can be rolled upright in all directions – ideal for airports and smooth floors. 2-wheel suitcases (upright) are more stable and also roll well over cobblestones. For frequent flyers, we recommend 4 quiet double wheels.
